With a rich history of music and dance, it's not hard to find talented Armenians anywhere in the world. And Sydney is no exception. This year, we have a diverse line up of performances that will keep you entertained all day.

Here is a taste of what you can expect....

One of the Festival's most popular musicians, Edwin Safarian, is back for a third time performing his favourite instrument, the didgeridoo. Edwin started playing the didgeridoo more than 12 years ago and has travelled extensively throughout Central Australia.

A special fashion parade has been coordinated especially for the Armenian Cultural Festival 2007, showcasing the unique designs of Alicia Hollen and Levon Barsamian. Alicia celebrated the tenth anniversary of her label last year and recently opened her flagship store on Oxford Street, Paddington. Levon's designs are starting to make an impact on the Australian fashion scene. After launching his label in 2002, he has been part of several parades including the Mercedes Australian Fashion Week in 2004.

Both of Sydney's premier folkloric dance ensembles, Sevan and the Armenian Sydney Dance Company will be performing this year, bringing the energy, beauty and history of Armenian dance to the Tumbalong Park stage.

Rivertribe is the creation of talented multi-instrumentalist Mike Lane who formed the group out of a vision to express Christian worship and meditation in a fresh way. The group has performed all over the world, but will be joining the Armenian Cultural Festival for the first time this year. Mike taught himself to play the traditional Armenian wind instrument, the duduk, in addition to several other instruments. Make sure you see this inspiring musician and band live at the Festival this year.
